Retreat Highlights

Now or Never

September 14-17, 2023   |  Sandpoint, ID

"Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6-7

Unashamed

February 2-5, 2023   |   East Wenatchee, WA

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16

We sang, we listened, we read. We stopped playing church as we experienced God and His good news. As Seventh-day Adventist youth, Jesus is now our real, present, and personal Friend. Connecting with Him daily, He is changing us. Taking our pride, fear, and selfishness, He gives us His character, peace, and purpose. We have seen His power. We are unashamed.

100%

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

As Christ's ambassadors, we can hold nothing back. The One who gave His life for us calls for heart, mind and body. To know the joy of serving Christ, we must be all in. One hundred percent.

‭‭“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1:8‬, 9

Having a relationship with Jesus and placing your trust in Him brings true peace and happiness. As we serve Him and those around us, we will find fulfillment. In the sunshine or in the shadows, through the trials and the hardships, He will be with us and brighten our path.

sACRIFICE

February 17-20, 2021   |   East Wenatchee, WA

“When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, ‘Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.’” Mark 8:34

As Seventh-day Adventist young people, God has called us to sacrifice everything for His service. When we surrender all we have and are to glorify God and bless those around us, our relationship with Christ will grow stronger, and we will make an impact on the world that will last for eternity.

Reflection

February 18-21, 2021   |   Hayden, ID

‭‭"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18

As Seventh-day Adventist young people, God has called us to be a reflection of His character to the world. On our own, we are nothing. But through His strength, when we behold Him and submit to the Holy Spirit, we will be changed into His image, becoming an unstoppable force for right and giving the world evidence of His power.

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me" - John 15:4

As Seventh-day Adventist young people, God has called us to walk with Him in every aspect of our daily lives. By keeping a true, continual reliance upon Christ, the power of God will work in us a complete transformation. Like the branch connected to the vine, day by day we will develop the mind of Christ and be made one with Him.

But if Not

February 20-23, 2020   |   Cashmere, WA

‭‭“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” - Daniel 3:16-18

As Seventh-day Adventist young people, God has called us to trust His goodness without reserve. Like the three Hebrew worthies, by being faithful in that which is least, we will be prepared to face even the greatest of trials in the end of time. We know our God is able to deliver us, but if He does not, we will stand faithful unto death, confident of that triumphant day.

Invincible

September 12-15, 2019   |   Hayden, ID

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” - 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

God has called us to reach the highest level of perfection attainable. By our own strength, all efforts to reach perfection of character will and must fail. But Christ ever liveth to make intercession for us, and by His sacrifice alone, though we fall, we are not forsaken; though we stumble, we can never be destroyed. When all we have and are is surrendered entirely into His hands, by His strength, we become invincible.

Be the spark

January 31-February 3, 2023  |   Hayden, ID

‭‭“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

As Seventh-day Adventist young people, God has called us to be a motivating force for right.  By standing strong against the pressures of the world and conducting ourselves after the pattern of Christ, our influence will be a spark that lights the candles of those around us.

Aspire to Reach Higher

August 30 - September 2, 2018  |   Hayden, ID

‭‭“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”  2 Corinthians 4:6-7

As Seventh Day Adventist young people, God has called us to reach higher - to grasp that connection with Him and know Him personally. Then, through His strength and power, we can become channels of light, sharing the everlasting gospel with those around us.
